With the new updated version of wordpress 3.0 you no longer need to update every single plugin manually.

Now all you have to do is go right under Dashboard on the top left of you admin panel hit the down arrow key and you will find three options. One of them is “Updates”. When you click on updates you find that you can upgrade all your plugins all at once under this new wordpress setting.
